Dr. Joel Lopez, M.D., C.N.S. has been ethically practicing Integrative Medicine for well over 10 years.
Born (and raised) into a family of doctors in the Philippines, Dr. Lopez received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology prior to entering medical school at the Far Eastern University in Manila.
He volunteered for numerous medical missions during medical school and did a 6 month stint with the Agape Rural Program, a project of the CCC Philippines, prior to his move to the US.
He came to the United States for residency training in Internal Medicine at the Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
After finishing his residency training, he further trained with alternative medical pioneers such as Dr. Gus Prosch of Birmingham, Alabama; Dr. Stan Headley of Naples and Dr. Robert Willix of Boca Raton, Florida; Dr. Chiedu Nchekwube of Merrillville, Indiana; and Dr. Paul Lynn of San Francisco, California.
Dr. Lopez has studied and subsequently incorporated into his practice modalities such as nutritional medicine, botanical medicine, homotoxicology, chelation therapy, I.V. nutritional therapies, oxidative therapies and bioidentical hormone replacement including HGH. He has also studied different healing systems such as Bodytalk, a system developed by Dr. John Veltheim from Australia.
Dr. Lopez is a board certified naturopath with the American Naturopathic Medical Association and a certified nutrition specialist with the American College of Nutrition.
He is also a Reiki master and a advanced biofeedback practitioner. Dr. Lopez is also professionally associated with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Lopez has written health articles for different publications. He has also appeared in local and national radio, cable and TV programs. Dr. Lopez is featured in the upcoming documentary about the benefits of a raw food diet called “May I be Frank.”
His interests include painting, working out, tai chi, yoga, reading fiction and non-fiction novels and learning new languages.
He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American College for Advancement in Medicine, Defeat Autism Now, American College of Nutrition and the American Society of Aesthetic Mesotherapy.
